What it’s like

Paint pottery, print a tote bag or press clay into a name plaque, with party packages for groups.

The basic offer is hand-painting pottery, and that starts at £15 a head. Pay £17 and you get a wider selection of pieces to choose from plus a handprint plate, which feels like the sensible upgrade if you want something to actually keep on the wall. Beyond that there's block printing your own tote bag at £20, and clay work at £25 for a name plaque or hanging decoration, which runs as a longer 2.5 hour session rather than the usual 1.5 hours the pottery and tote bag parties get.

They also run themed workshops through the year rather than just standard parties, things like a Pizza Night at £13, a Clay Animal Workshop at £20, a Halloween Event at £12, and even a Christmas in July session for £10. Handy if a birthday doesn't quite line up with a theme you fancy, or you just want a one-off session rather than a full party booking.

If you're doing a party, numbers matter here. Saturdays cap out at 12 kids, but other days you can take up to 30, so a big class party is easier to squeeze in midweek. Minimum is 8 either way, so this isn't really built for a tiny gathering of three or four.

Booking is done the old-fashioned way, over Facebook or by phone, and walk-ins are fine too if you're just popping in during opening hours rather than throwing a party. Worth noting if you book the block printing tote bag party, older clothes are a good shout since that one gets messier than the pottery painting.

How much does a party cost?

Basic pottery painting is £15 a head, or £17 if you want the wider selection plus a handprint plate. Block print tote bags are £20 and clay name plaques or decorations are £25.

How long do parties last?

Pottery and block print parties run 1.5 hours. Clay parties get 2.5 hours since there's more to do.

How many kids can we bring?

Minimum 8 for a party. Saturdays are capped at 12, but other days you can bring up to 30.

Do we need to book?

Parties need booking, either through Facebook or by calling 01709 529440. Walk-ins are welcome during opening hours if you just fancy a session.

Is there anything other than parties?

Yes, they run themed workshops too, like Pizza Night at £13, a Clay Animal Workshop at £20, a Halloween Event at £12 and a Christmas in July workshop at £10.

What do the kids actually make?

Hand-painted pottery, block-printed tote bags, clay name plaques and hanging decorations, plus foam clay decoration pieces.

Will the block printing party get messy?

It can do, so older clothes are a good idea for that one.
