Free city farm in St Ann's with cows, goats, pigs and rabbits to meet, free parking fills fast, picnic benches everywhere, and the barn opens at 12pm.

Stonebridge City Farm is a free community farm in St Ann's, Nottingham, with cows, sheep, goats, pigs, chickens, geese, an aviary and a bunny village to wander round, plus a barn where rabbits and guinea pigs live (it opens to visitors at 12pm). There's no need to book, just turn up any day of the week, and kids can spend anywhere from ten minutes to a whole day exploring the paddocks, gardens and animals. It's genuinely free to enter, with donations welcomed to help cover running costs. There's a café and shop on site for lunch, and picnic benches dotted around if you bring your own (just not in the barn or around the paddocks, for the animals' safety and yours). The small car park is free but fills up quickly, so buses (24, 25, 26, 27 or 39) or the tram to Lace Market (15-minute walk) are worth considering. Dogs aren't allowed on site except assistance dogs, as some animals don't take kindly to them. Schools can book Little Farmers sessions (2-hour structured visits with a garden tour and animal introductions, Thursday & Friday during term time, £4 per child, min charge £80) or Free Rangers self-led visits (Wednesday–Friday, £3 per child), both not available for Little Farmers between 1 November and 28 February. Group tours for the public run Tuesday and Friday, around 30 minutes, £50 for 6–12 people, email to book. The farm also boards rabbits and guinea pigs while owners are away, and offers nail trimming (£5 per animal) for pet rabbits and guinea pigs.
