What it’s like
A free park with an all-inclusive play area, a skate park and a parkour setup all in one spot.
Three different things to do here rather than one big frame. There's an all-inclusive play area for the climbing and swinging stuff, a skate park for anyone on wheels or a board, and a proper Street Running (parkour) facility if your kids are past the swings and want something with a bit more challenge to it. That mix is the reason to go: younger ones can potter about on the play area while an older sibling has a go at the parkour bars without anyone getting bored.
It's free, which makes it an easy one to slot into a morning without weighing up whether it's worth the money. There's no booking involved either, you just turn up during opening hours. Monday to Friday it runs 9am to 1pm and then 2pm to 4:30pm, so there's a gap over lunch when the gates aren't open, worth bearing in mind if you were planning to roll up at 1:30.
Toilets and parking are on site, which takes the edge off a longer visit with smaller children. One thing to watch: the car park gate gets locked at dusk each night, so if you're there for an early evening session in the darker months, don't leave the car until last.
