WHERE

Salisbury

What it’s like

A city centre venue for gigs and touring shows, with tickets from £28.60 and pizza or hotdogs at the bar.

This is where Salisbury's touring music and comedy lands, with acts like Seth Lakeman and a Kate Bush tribute night called Cloudbusting on the bill. Tickets start from around £28.60 and go up depending on who's playing, and there's a 10% booking fee added on top unless the event organiser says otherwise, which is worth factoring in before you commit.

Food during events runs to pizza, hotdogs and snacks from the bar, nothing fancy but enough to sort you out before the doors open properly. The Picture House café attached to the venue is still being built, so that's not an option yet.

It's a five minute stroll from Salisbury train station and about three minutes from the Fisherton Street rail bridge, which makes it an easy one if you're coming in without a car. There's no on-site parking though, so you're looking at the Mill Stream Approach car park nearby, and that's not free either, up to £9.90 for the day on weekdays.

The venue itself is wheelchair accessible, though seating arrangements shift from event to event so it's best to get in touch directly if that matters to you. One thing to know going in: there's currently nothing set up for hearing or sight impairments, and tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable once bought, so double-check the date before you click buy.
