What it’s like
A themed world of dinosaurs, aliens, Wembley and Big Ben under one roof, with a separate area for babies and toddlers.
The whole point here is the theming. Instead of one big frame, you get a trail of little worlds: a dinosaur land, an alien battle zone with space blasters, a mini Wembley pitch, even a stretch that takes you past Big Ben and along the Great Wall of China. It's a lot to get through, and it's the sort of thing that'll have your six-year-old narrating the whole visit to you.
Toddlers get their own octopus-themed under-the-sea corner away from the bigger kids, and babies have a Central Park bit with a yellow cab to climb into, so the little ones aren't just watching from the sidelines. There's a sensory area too, described as state of the art, which is worth knowing about if noise and crowds are a factor for your child.
Midweek in term time you can just turn up, with the doors open 10 till 5:30. Weekends, school holidays and inset days work differently: you'll need to book one of three set sessions (10 to 12, 12:30 to 2:30, or 3 to 5), and the doors close a bit earlier at 5. Booking ahead for weekends is a faff if you're used to just deciding on the day, but it does mean you're not turning up to find it's rammed.
Parties run three ways: a two-hour weekend slot at £16.50 a child, an after-school midweek one at £14.50, and an evening exclusive slot Friday to Sunday at £16.50 with a minimum of 25 kids, so that last one's really for a proper big bash rather than a small gathering.
