What it’s like
A pretend village of shops, a café, a theatre and a vet for small kids to play house in, with a separate baby corner.
The whole point here is the role play. Instead of a big frame to climb, you get a mini village: a shop to "buy" from, a café counter, a little theatre stage and a vet's for treating soft toys. It suits younger kids especially well, the sort who'd rather serve you a pretend coffee than launch down a slide, and there's a small baby area with its own toys and soft equipment so you're not trying to keep a crawler away from a seven-year-old's game of shopkeepers.
Sessions run for two hours and that's your lot at weekends and in the holidays, so don't turn up late expecting to stretch it. It's £13.95 for one adult and one child at those peak times, dropping to £12.95 in term time off-peak, with extra children at £10.95 or £9.95. An extra adult is just £3, which is decent if you're tag-teaming with a partner or grandparent. Babies under 12 months go free alongside a paying child.
You can't bring your own food in, sandwiches stay in the car, but the café does proper coffee, pizza, jacket potatoes and milkshakes, and it's five-star rated if that sort of thing reassures you. Parking's free at Bridgemere Garden Centre with Blue Badge spaces, and the whole place is built to be wheelchair and buggy friendly, which matters when you're wrangling a pushchair and a toddler who wants to run off to the vet's.
Booking isn't required in term time or on weekends, though they do warn about the odd school visit taking over, so it's worth a quick check if you're planning around a specific day. Weekends and holidays are the ones to book ahead for, since walk-ins are only let in if there's room.

How long is a session?
Two hours, and that's a hard limit during weekends and school holidays. There's also a one-hour session option if you want a shorter, cheaper visit.
What age is it best for?
They recommend 0 to 10 years old, with a small baby area for under-ones and crawlers.
