What it’s like
Private karaoke and party rooms in Coventry city centre, with daytime slots for kids' birthdays from age 5.
Book a private room here and you get your own space with karaoke, coloured party lighting and a sound system for up to four hours, no sharing with strangers, no queuing for a machine somebody else has hogged. For kids' parties it's daytime slots only, five and up, and a parent has to stay in the room the whole time, which is fair enough given the setup but worth knowing before you plan your afternoon around dropping and running.
The evenings are a different crowd. Once you're past 7pm the venue wants at least half of any group to be adults aged 25 or over, so this bit is really built around hen dos, stag dos and grown-up birthdays rather than a teenager's fifteenth. If you're booking for younger teens, stick to the daytime.
Cost stings a bit if you leave it late: £10 a head if you book ahead, £15 if you just turn up on the door. Full payment is due upfront, and if your numbers drop after booking you still pay for the group size you confirmed, so it pays to have your guest list nailed down before you hand over any money. There's no early access for decorating either, rooms are only ready from 7pm, so balloon-blowing has to happen once you're actually in.
Bishop Street car park sits right next to the building, which takes the stress out of finding a space in the city centre. Bring your own snacks if you like, but drinks from outside get held at the bar rather than allowed straight in, and once you've left for the night there's no getting back in.
