Coventry city centre has a couple of solid options within a kilometre of each other. Players Party Rooms does daytime karaoke and party bookings from age 5, from £10, which is easy on the budget for a kids' birthday. Boom Battle Bar is a different crowd entirely: axe throwing, crazy golf and karaoke with cocktails, but it's 18+ after 7pm, so this one is for a grown-up night out, not a family trip. If you want something further afield, there's VR escape rooms and horror scares out in Warwick from £22, booked in 45 to 60 minute slots for ages 8 and up, and a drive out to Birmingham gets you Escape Hunt at Resorts World, themed rooms and an outdoor City Hunt for the same 8-plus age group, from £15 for around 90 minutes. Younger children are best served in Coventry itself; older kids and teens have more choice if you're willing to travel.
