Pickford's House is a free Georgian townhouse museum right in Derby city centre. Joseph Pickford built it as his family home in 1770, and you can walk the rooms and get a feel for how a Derbyshire family actually lived.
Entry is free. Open Tuesday to Saturday 10am-5pm; closed Sunday and Monday. There is free visitor parking off Agard Street, a gift shop in the Brewhouse, and step-free access via the side entrance.
Handy for a short city-centre stop between other Derby Museums sites - no ticket stress, just turn up.
