What it’s like

Weekend drama, dance and singing classes for ages 2 to 19, with a free trial before you pay a penny.

Classes here run in drama, dance and singing, split across Saturdays and Sundays, with the school year broken into four ten-week terms starting around September, November, February and May. There's no audition and no experience needed, so a shy six-year-old and a fourteen-year-old who's already set on musical theatre can both walk in cold. The free trial is the sensible way to test the water: pick a school year and interest, book a date, and turn up in comfortable clothes and flat shoes. No uniform, no leotard shopping, no pressure.

Once your child actually joins, though, it's a bigger commitment than the trial suggests. Full uniform becomes compulsory for regular classes and rehearsals, and the terms and conditions are firm that fees aren't refunded for missed sessions, since the place stays reserved whether your child turns up or not. At £82.50 to start, that's worth knowing before you commit to a term rather than after.

For older or more serious students there's the option of LAMDA exams in speech and performance, and ISTD dance exams, though neither is compulsory and plenty of families will happily skip them. Food isn't allowed in the studios and the school runs a no-nut and no-peanut policy, so send your child in with water rather than a snack. Classes are held at 22 Hope Street in Liverpool.
