What it’s like
Small ones role-play in a vet's, castle and supermarket, then climb the soft play frame, all in two-hour sessions built for under-sevens.
This one's aimed squarely at the pre-school crowd rather than trying to please everyone. The role play village is the bit they'll go on about after, a little vets, a castle and a supermarket set up for pretending rather than just climbing. There's a woodland tepee area too, plus the usual soft play climbing frame and ride-ons for the ones who just want to move.
A sensory room is tucked in as well, which is a nice touch if you've got a child who needs a quieter corner away from the noise. Sessions run for two hours, and at £6 for a 1-6 year old it's not a bank-breaker, though the sliding scale for babies (£2 under six months, £3.50 for 7-11 months) shows they've thought about the youngest end properly.
Food is where it gets a bit strict. Only what you buy on site can be eaten there, down to allergy rules, so that packed lunch stays in the bag. The café does home-cooked food and home-made cakes though, so it's not exactly a hardship.
It's open Monday to Saturday, 9am to 3.30pm, but Sundays are given over entirely to private parties, so don't turn up expecting a walk-in on a Sunday. No booking is needed the rest of the week, which makes it an easy one to slot into a weekday morning.
