What it’s like
An over-18s locked room challenge in Stoke-on-Trent where your team has an hour to crack the clues and get out.
This one's for the adults. You and your team get shut in a themed room with an hour on the clock to work through the clues and find your way out. It's booked privately, so it's just your group in there, though the site notes staff will pop in with bits of interaction as you go, which either helps or throws you off depending on how you're doing.
You do need to be 18 to play. They'll let 16 and 17 year olds in if there's a responsible adult with them, but under that it's a no. That rules out a family trip, but it makes sense for a format built around being locked in a room with a bit of tension baked into the theme.
Worth sorting your outfit before you turn up. They're specific about it: closed-toe shoes, nothing restrictive on your legs, a breathable top, and clothes you don't mind getting a bit dusty or damp, since the room itself can have dust, paint flakes and debris as part of the set. Leave the good jeans at home.
You're free to leave whenever you like if it gets too much, so the locked-in bit is more about the story than an actual lock-in. An hour is the session length, and you'll want to turn up with a full team ready to think rather than wandering in half awake.
