What it’s like
Slides, climbing frames and trampolines for the bigger ones, plus a proper Parent and Toddler Area for the smaller ones.
The main hall is where the climbing frames, slides and trampolines live, and that's where the four-plus crowd will disappear to for the whole visit. There's a newer Parent & Toddler Area too, aimed at gentler sensory and soft play for the under-fours, which is handy if you've got one of each and don't fancy refereeing a toddler under a seven-year-old's slide.
Pricing shifts depending on when you go. Wednesday to Friday it's £5 for an under-four and £8 for anyone older, with adults getting in for a token £1. Turn up at the weekend or in the school holidays and it jumps to £9 and £12, which is a fair bit steeper for what's the same play frame, so a midweek visit is the one to angle for if your week allows it.
Socks are required on the equipment, so pack a pair rather than find out at the door. Hours vary through the week, opening earlier and running longer on Fridays and weekends (Saturday and Sunday stretch from 9:30am to 5:30pm), and it's also worth knowing that private party bookings can affect the centre's hours, so a session you were planning around might shift.
The café does breakfast until 11am and then moves on to wraps, paninis and mains, with prices running from £3 up to £12.75. Birthday parties run in set slots on Fridays and weekends, up to 20 children from £200, and the birthday child gets a free return pass thrown in, which is a nice touch if they end up wanting to come straight back.
