What it’s like

Two separate play zones, one for crawlers and toddlers and one for the school-age adventure frame, sold in two-hour timed slots.

There are two distinct bits here rather than one big frame everyone piles onto. The under-fives get a large soft play area to themselves, all soft edges and low climbs, while the 5 to 12s have an adventure frame that's built with the bigger, faster kids in mind. It means a toddler and an older sibling can both be occupied without one of them getting flattened by the other.

Everything runs on two-hour timed slots, and you book online in advance rather than just turning up. Prices split into off-peak and peak, and by age, so a 3 to 4 year old is £7.50 off-peak but £9.50 at peak times, and a 5 to 12 year old jumps from £9 to £11.50. Under-6-months get in free and adults pay a token £1, which is generous compared with most soft play adult charges. If you want food sorted too, the Play & Eat option bundles in a meal for a few pounds more, which saves you queuing at the café separately once everyone's hungry and cranky.

Birthday parties get their own themed rooms, Princess, Unicorn or Superhero, and it's a proper package: 75 minutes of play, 30 minutes of food, a hot meal, ice cream, unlimited squash and a host running things so you're not the one refereeing pass the parcel. The birthday child gets a free return visit too, which is a nice touch. It's a £50 deposit to hold the room, balance due on the day.

Parking's free on site, which takes one thing off the list, and there's wifi if you need to catch up on emails while the kids run at the frame. Slots run at set times through the day, weekdays and weekends alike, so it's worth picking a quieter off-peak window if you want a bit more space to yourself.

Plan your visit

How much does it cost?

It depends on age and whether you go off-peak or peak. A 3 to 4 year old is £7.50 off-peak or £9.50 peak, a 5 to 12 year old is £9 or £11.50, and adults pay £1 either way.

Do we need to book?

Yes, it's pre-book online for a timed two-hour slot. Open play is available on quieter days if you'd rather not commit in advance.

Is it suitable for a baby or toddler?

There's a large soft play area kept separate for 0 to 4 year olds, so it's not competing with the bigger kids' frame. Under 6 months go free and 6 to 11 months is £1.

What's there for older kids?

An adventure frame aimed at 5 to 12 year olds, separate from the toddler soft play.

How long is a session?

What food is available?

A free return visit is included with a party booking.

What ages does it suit?

From newborns up to 12 years old, split across the toddler soft play and the older kids' adventure frame.
