What it’s like

Free entry to Old Market Square festive site - skate, Sky Skate, Observation Wheel and market stalls once you book the paid bits.

Kids head for the ice rink and Sky Skate path first - ground-level rink, elevated Sky Skate, and a children's rink with penguin aids. Site entry is free; ice, rides, Observation Wheel and Ice Bar are paid attractions you book separately. Public skate face prices sit on the booking site - check before you travel rather than guessing.

Opens 12 November 2026 on Old Market Square. Standard Ice Rink / Sky Skate pattern: Mon-Thu 12:30-22:30 (last session 21:15); Fri 11:15-23:00 (last 21:45) - December peak, Christmas Eve, Boxing Day and New Year clocks differ on the opening-hours page. Closed Christmas Day. Markets, Observation Wheel and Ice Bar have their own month tables.

City-centre outdoor site - dress warm. Cashless attractions. Under-12 skate-aid rules; children 4+ on the main rink with an adult. Weekends and December evenings get busy. Tram / Park & Ride Forest recommended.
