What it’s like

One-to-one and group music lessons for children and adults, plus choirs and ensembles to join once you've had a few lessons.

This is a music school rather than a one-off activity, so the shape of a visit is different. Your child (or you, they teach adults too) gets set up with lessons on an instrument, and from there there's the option to join a choir or ensemble alongside the one-to-one teaching.

That's the bit worth knowing before you sign up: it's not a drop-in session you do once and see how it goes, it's a proper commitment, lesson by lesson, with the choirs and ensembles sitting on top as the sociable part once the basics are in. If your child likes performing more than practising scales alone, the ensemble side is where that shows up.

It suits anyone from a child having their first go on an instrument to an adult picking one up for the first time, since both are taught here. There's no age cut-off given, so it reads as open to whoever wants to learn, not just the school-age crowd.

Plan your visit

Is this for children only?

No, they teach adults as well as children, so it's not just a kids' after-school thing.

Do you just get taught the instrument, or is there more to it?

Lessons are the core of it, but there are also choirs and ensembles to join if your child wants to play or sing with others.

What ages do they take?

There's no age range given, and since they teach children and adults side by side it seems fairly open.

Do we need to book a lesson in advance?

There's no online booking link, so it sounds like you'd get in touch with them directly to arrange lessons.
