What it’s like
Free Isle of Dogs city farm with animals, park walks and a kitchen cafe - proper London day out without the tourist fluff.
Mudchute Park and Farm sits in the middle of the Isle of Dogs - sheep and llamas with Canary Wharf behind them. Free entry, farm open every day 9am-4pm (animals head in from 3pm), and the park stays open dawn to dusk.
Bring the kids for Pets Corner when it is open, grab a bag of feed if you want the goats onside, then hit Mudchute Kitchen Cafe for a sit-down. Allow a couple of hours - courtyard, paddocks and the park paths eat time fast.
Nearest is Mudchute DLR. Pier Street, E14 3HP. Donations keep the charity ticking - leave what you can.
