What it’s like
One-to-one lessons on 17+ instruments, from piano to clarsach, paid per session with no contracts to sign up to.
This is one-to-one teaching, not a group class, so a lesson gets built around whichever instrument your child has picked, from the obvious ones like piano and guitar through to trombone, French horn and clarsach. Music theory and composition are on the list too, and there's music technology if your kid is more interested in producing than performing. Lessons run in Morningside or online, taught by the same teachers either way, and the site is clear there's no price difference between the two.
The pricing is dead simple: £36 for a half hour, £59 for a full hour, and that rate holds whatever instrument or discipline you pick. No joining fee, no block booking, you just pay per lesson, which suits families who aren't sure the trumpet obsession will outlast the school term. If your child hasn't got their own instrument yet, you can use one of theirs for the first few lessons, useful before you commit to buying anything.
From age 4 upwards, and with the school open every day from 8am to 10pm including school holidays and bank holidays, there's a lot of flexibility on when you actually go. That said, £59 for an hour adds up fast if you're doing weekly lessons over a year, so the half hour slot is worth considering for younger beginners whose attention span won't stretch much beyond that anyway.
