Pool, snooker, darts and ping pong tables to book out for a birthday or just a wet afternoon.

This is a proper sports bar with tables rather than a soft play, so it suits kids old enough to hold a cue and take a turn without getting bored. American pool, British pool, snooker, darts and ping pong are all on offer, which gives you enough to rotate round if you've got a mixed group who don't all fancy the same game.

The birthday party package is the obvious reason to look at this one. £11.95 a child gets two hours of pool plus food, and parents go in free, though they do want a minimum of two adults there to supervise. Weekday parties run until 8pm, weekends cut off earlier at 6pm, so an afternoon slot works better than trying to squeeze one in after tea.

Opening hours shift a fair bit through the week. Weekdays it doesn't open till 4pm, but Friday and Saturday it's open from midday, and Sunday from midday too, closing at 10. That midday start at the weekend makes it easier to plan a proper afternoon session rather than rushing in after school.

It's card only, so don't turn up expecting to pay cash for a game or a round of food. There's on street parking rather than a dedicated car park, and the place is wheelchair accessible with toilets on site, which is handy if you've got a mixed-ability group or a grandparent tagging along.
