What it’s like
Roller skating sessions, a Roller Disco with lights and games, and lessons for anyone who's never worn skates before.
This is a roller rink, not an ice rink, so the falls are a bit more forgiving and the queue for skate hire moves at a reasonable pace. Sessions run for skaters of any age and ability, and if you or your kid have never strapped on a pair before, the Beginners' sessions on Monday afternoons and Wednesday afternoons are the ones to pick, since walking on the rink is only allowed then. Every other session, you're on skates the whole time, even if you're just steadying a wobbly six-year-old.
The Roller Disco is the bit worth building the visit around, with a DJ, disco lights and games thrown in, and there are seasonal versions too, Glow Disco, Halloween, Christmas, that bump the price up to £10 a head. Booking online saves you real money, £7 against £8.50 if you just turn up, and the site is upfront that walk-in spots aren't guaranteed because sessions fill fast. That's a fair trade for planning ten minutes ahead.
Food-wise there's the Mooseshack café on site, and the Skate & Eat meal deal is decent value at £5 online, covering a burger, nuggets, pizza or sausages with chips and a squash. Skate hire is £2 a person if you haven't got your own, and from December 2025 the pads aren't free to borrow any more, you buy them at the skate hut instead, which is a bit of a change from how a lot of rinks do it. Parking's free on site, which takes one cost off the day at least.
If it's a birthday you're after, the exclusive party package gets you 1.5 hours (an hour skating, half an hour eating) for £16 a head with a 15 minimum, in a private room that seats around 30. Slots run Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and they want everyone there 15 minutes early to get boots and pads sorted before the clock starts on your booked time.

How much does it cost?
£7 a person if you book online, £8.50 if you walk in. Skate hire is another £2 if you need it.
Do we need to book?
Booking online is cheaper and the site says walk-in spaces aren't guaranteed since sessions fill up quickly. Turning up on spec is a bit of a gamble on busy days.
Is there a minimum age?
No minimum age, skaters of any age and ability are welcome.
What if my child has never skated before?
There are Beginners' Skate sessions on Monday 4:30-6:30pm and Wednesday 4-6pm, which are more relaxed and let you walk rather than skate the whole time. Group and 1:1 lessons also run through term time.
Can I walk onto the rink to help my child?
Not normally, you'll need skates on yourself to get out there, except during the Beginners' sessions where walking is fine.
What's there to eat?
The Mooseshack café does the usual snacks and hot drinks, plus a Skate & Eat meal deal for £5 online (£6 walk-in) with burger, nuggets, pizza or sausages and chips.
Is there parking?
Free parking on site.
Do you need to bring your own skates?
You can bring your own suitable roller skates, or hire a pair for £2.

The exclusive party option is £16 a person (15 minimum) for 1.5 hours, an hour skating and half an hour eating, with a private room. Slots run on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
What's the refund policy if plans change?
There aren't any refunds. You can ask to reschedule but they need 72 hours' notice and can't guarantee they'll fit you in.
