What it’s like
Handling rabbits, guinea pigs and ducklings, feeding the farm animals, and a bouncy castle if you want to pay extra for it.
This is a small animal handling farm before it's anything else. The list includes rabbit, guinea pig, chicks, ducklings and a tortoise in season, so it's less about wandering fields and more about sitting down and having something furry put in your lap. There's a free play area too, and a bouncy castle if you book it in for a party.
It's open Tuesday to Sunday, 10 till 3, and seven days a week in the school holidays, which is useful if you're filling a Monday in August. Picnics are allowed in the free indoor and outdoor space, just not in the play area itself. Food units do pop up on site for hot and cold food and cakes, but hot food disappears for July, August and September, which is exactly when you'd want it least conveniently, being the school holidays. Drinks and ice creams are always on, at least.
Parties run for two hours and split into Farm or Pony versions. A Farm Party is £159.50 for up to ten kids, or £15.95 a head if you've got more, and covers animal handling, feeding and a farm tour. Pony Parties are a step up at £189.50 for ten, or £18.95 per child, presumably with the actual pony involved somewhere. Party bags are £3.50 a child on top if you want them sorted for you, and a bouncy castle adds £50 to any party. The birthday child gets a free return visit, which is a nice touch and costs the farm nothing to offer.

You can book online or just pay on entry, so it's your call.
What can the kids actually do?

What are the opening hours?
Tuesday to Sunday, 10am to 3pm, and every day during school holidays.
Is there food on site?
