What it’s like
A free, always-open concrete park for skateboards, BMX bikes and scooters.
This is the sort of park where you turn up with a board or a bike and just get on with it. No entry fee, no gates, no session times to work around. The facts list skateboarding, BMX riding and scooter riding as the main activities, so it suits a mixed group who don't all ride the same thing.
Being open 24 hours sounds great until you think about it properly. There's no staff on hand and no set hours to lean on if you want a quieter time to go. That freedom cuts both ways.
One rule worth knowing before anyone's flying down a ramp: RoSPA regulations require 2 metres of clearance around the obstacles. Worth a word with younger or newer riders before they set off, since it's about giving other people room, not just going for it.
There's no booking system and nothing to pay, which makes it an easy one to add to a weekend when the weather's decent and someone's itching to try a new trick.
