What it’s like
A pub with big screens for the football, live music some nights and a quiz, kids allowed in until 8pm.
This is a proper pub first, family stop second. The draw is the 4K screens for watching sport, live music on some nights and a pub quiz, so it's more of a place to bring the kids along for an early evening out than a dedicated kids' venue. They let children in until 8pm, which is fair enough for a pub, but it does mean this is an afternoon or early tea plan rather than a night out with the whole crew.
Food-wise the kitchen does spice bags, burgers and pub grub from Wednesday to Sunday, and on Monday and Tuesday you're looking at takeaway or food from Pizza Geeks next door. Worth knowing before you plan a Monday tea there. Dogs are welcome too if that's part of your day out.
Booking a table is the sensible move, they say walk-ins are first come first served but recommend booking so you're not standing about with a toddler waiting for a seat. If there's a big match on, especially a cup final, they might switch to walk-ins only or ticket entry, and it's worth calling ahead about whether kids will be let in on those days.
Getting around with a wheelchair or a buggy, downstairs is fine, with the bar and most of the seating on that level. There's no lift though, so upstairs is off limits, and that includes the women's toilets, which are up the stairs. The men's toilets are downstairs and accessible.

Plan your visit
Can kids come along?
Yes, up until 8pm. For big sports fixtures it's best to call ahead and check, since they might not let kids in on those days.
Do we need to book a table?
They take walk-ins first come first served, but book ahead if you can, especially before cup finals when it might be ticket entry or walk-ins only.
What's there for food?
Kitchen grub, burgers and spice bags Wednesday to Sunday. Monday and Tuesday it's takeaway or food from Pizza Geeks next door.
Is it wheelchair or buggy friendly?
Downstairs, yes, with the bar and plenty of seating on that level. There's no lift, so upstairs and the women's toilets up there aren't accessible, but the men's downstairs are fine.
Are dogs allowed?
All dogs are welcome.
