This is a proper pub setup rather than a soft play or a farm, so it suits families who want a laid back afternoon with music on and sport on the screens rather than a day of activities for the kids to run through. Live music performances happen here, and there are HD screens for live sport.

Opening hours are worth checking against your plans. Tuesday to Thursday and Monday it opens at 5pm, which rules out an after-school visit, but Friday to Sunday it opens at midday, so a weekend lunchtime works if you want to get the family out before the evening crowd arrives. It stays open until 1am every night listed, though that's obviously well past most kids' bedtimes.

There's wheelchair access and an accessible toilet, plus wifi if you need to keep an eye on emails or let a teenager stream something while the adults chat. For birthday parties, they do drinks packages and private hire is an option, with 25% off the bill as a nice touch. Some bookings need a deposit, but that gets used as a tab on the day.
