What it’s like
Pregnancy yoga, postnatal mum and baby sessions, and antenatal courses for expectant and new parents in Penarth.
This is one for the pregnancy and early parenthood stretch rather than a day out with kids in tow. Pregnancy yoga classes run on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, working through breathing, movement and relaxation to get you ready for labour, and the site is clear you don't need any yoga background to join in, teachers pitch it to whoever's in the room.
Once the baby's here, there's postnatal mum and baby yoga on Tuesday mornings and Wednesday afternoons, which you can start from 6 weeks after a vaginal birth or 8 weeks after a caesarean. A drop in session is £14, or £72 gets you a half-term's worth, which works out better value if you know you'll keep going. Pregnancy yoga drop ins are £13, with 5 and 10 class packages if you want to commit, and £26 as an intro offer for new clients.
If you want more structured preparation, there's an antenatal course called Prepare for Birth & Baby, run in the evening for £200 per couple, aimed at expectant parents and birth partners together rather than just the pregnant parent. All of it needs booking in advance.
One thing to watch: cancelling within 12 hours of a class means you're charged as if you'd turned up, and you can't cancel by email or text, it has to go through your online account or be agreed directly with the local teacher. Bring your own water bottle, that's the one thing they ask you to remember.
