Laser Tag UK - Mobile Laser Tag
WHERE
Weston-super-Mare
What it’s like
A mobile laser tag team turns up wherever you like, woodland, park or back garden, and runs capture the flag, king of the hill and survival games with proper adjustable guns.
This isn't a warehouse arena you drive to, it's the other way round. Laser Tag UK bring the kit to a spot of your choosing, a local wood, a park, even a farm or business premise if you've got one handy, and set up capture the flag, king of the hill and solo survival games with taggers that adjust to fit smaller hands. A staff member turns up early to check the ground's safe, runs a briefing so everyone knows the rules, then referees the whole session and leaves you room for a quick drink break between games.
There's no upper or lower age limit as such. The site's line is that anyone comfortable holding the tagger and following the game rules can play, which in practice probably rules out the very small ones since the equipment has a bit of heft to it. Up to 20 can play in one game, and if you've got more than that they'll talk you through running a bigger session.
Sessions start at an hour and you can bolt on extra half hours if the group's still going. Because it's outdoors and often in scrubby ground, they're firm about closed shoes and long trousers, and a coat if the forecast's grim, which is fair enough given nettles and thistles don't care about your laser tag experience. Playing after dark isn't something they'll do casually either, only with experienced groups and only if it's agreed beforehand.
Booking is essential, there's no turning up on spec, and it works well as a birthday party format since they'll put together a custom package. Worth knowing that a 50% deposit locks in the slot and the rest is due before the day, paid by card, cash or bank transfer.

Plan your visit
Do we need to book in advance?
Yes, there's no turning up and playing on the day. You book a session and pick your slot online.
How long do the games last?
Sessions start at an hour, and you can add on 30 minute chunks if everyone's still up for it.
Is there an age limit?
No set age limit. The main thing is whether a player's comfortable holding the tagger, since it can be on the heavy side for very small kids.
Can this be a birthday party?
They do mobile laser tag parties and will put together a custom package for the day.
Where does it actually happen?
Wherever you pick, really, a local wood, a park, a farm or somewhere private, as long as it's safe and legal to play there. A staff member checks the ground over before you start.
