What it’s like
Nets, treehouses, a high ropes trek and a 100m zip line by the water, from age 3 upwards.
The Net Park is the one for younger kids: treehouses, walkways and 45 minutes of bouncing about strung between the trees, open from age 3. It's proper outdoor stuff rather than a padded indoor frame, so dress for weather and expect a bit of mud if it's been raining.
For anyone taller and braver there's High Trek Plus, a full high ropes course, and a 100m zip line experience running above the water. Both come with a minimum height of 1.2m, and everyone gets weighed before they start since there's a 120kg limit across the board. Worth knowing before you promise a big day out to a small but sturdy child.
There's water activities too, pedalos and kayaks, so if the ropes don't fill the visit you can carry on out on the reservoir. Coffee and drinks are sold at the check-in centre, and Mill Waters Café nearby does proper food, cakes and sandwiches if you want to sit down properly afterwards.
Parking is pay and display rather than free, so bring change or your phone for the app. Dogs are welcome on a lead if you're bringing one along, and there's toilets on site. At £8 for Net Park and £18 for High Trek Plus, it's not a cheap afternoon if you've got more than one child doing the big stuff, but it's a different kind of day out to the usual soft play or park.
