What it’s like
Three big soft play slides, a football pitch and race track, plus a proper baby corner for the pre-walkers.
The main soft play frame has three slides your seven-year-old will want to do on repeat, and there's a football pitch, a race track and monkey bars to burn through the rest of the visit. Two ball pools and a set of rollers keep things moving, and there's a separate area for pre-walkers and toddlers so the little ones aren't getting trampled by bigger kids mid-slide.
Entry's tiered by age: £8 for over-4s, £7 for 2 to 3 year olds, £6 for under-2s and £3.50 for pre-walkers, with accompanying adults at £1.50. That's a fair few price points to keep track of if you've got kids at different ages, but at least nobody's paying full whack for a baby who just wants to look at the lights. Tuesdays bring an Infant Developmental Play Gym session for babies (baby yoga, nurturing touch, that sort of thing), and Wednesdays split into Caterpillar Club for under-6-months and Busy Bees for the toddling crowd, both with bubbles, parachutes and songs.
Birthday parties run for two hours: an hour of soft play, half an hour for the cake ceremony and buffet, and half an hour on the disco. The Clubhouse package is £13.99 a head, needs a minimum of 10 children and runs 4 to 6pm on weekdays or 10am to 6pm at weekends. Step up to the Themed Party at £15.99 and you get themed party bags, masks or tiaras, a banner and themed music thrown in. The VIP version at £17.99 gives you exclusive use of the place, but you need at least 15 children to book it and it only runs in the evening slot, 5:30 to 7:30pm.
The café does hot and cold meals with vegan, vegetarian and halal options, plus decaf and dairy-free drinks if you need them, and there's free wifi if you fancy sitting one out. Parking's free on-site at the rear, and there's up to two hours free at the front too, which takes the sting out of the entry prices a bit.
