What it’s like
Drop-in dance classes for ages 3 to 60, plus birthday dance parties with choreography and a video to keep.
Kids from 3 upwards can just turn up to a drop-in class here, in whatever style takes their fancy, with a warm up, some technique, a bit of choreography and a proper cool down at the end. If they're keen to go further, there are IDTA syllabus exam classes for under 18s working towards actual grades, which is a step up from the average after-school dance session.
The first class is free, which is a decent way to test whether your three-year-old actually likes structured dance or just likes the idea of it. After that, drop-ins are booked and paid for in advance rather than turning up on spec, and students get a small discount. Beginner courses run in 5-week blocks and you save a bit by booking the whole cycle upfront, though joining partway through is fine too.
Birthday parties are the bit worth flagging separately. £150 gets you two hours, split into an hour of choreography and an hour for food and games, and they film the routine so you've got a video of it afterwards rather than a half-remembered performance in the car home.
It's not just a kids' setup either. Adult classes run from 17 right through their 50s and 60s, so if you're dropping a child off for their session there's an argument for booking yourself into the class next door rather than sitting in the car park. Parking's free on-street outside, there's a tram stop a short walk away, and the buses stop nearby too.

It's £150 for two hours: an hour of dance and choreography, then an hour for food and games. They film the routine so you get a video to keep.
Is there anything for younger children?
Drop-in classes cover ages 3 to 16, so there's room for a first-timer as well as older kids working through the IDTA exam syllabus.
What's parking like?
Free on-street parking right outside the studio, plus a reasonably priced charity car park opposite. There's also a tram stop a few minutes' walk away and several bus routes nearby.
Can I hire a studio myself?
Yes, three studios are bookable online for personal use, from 30 minutes up to a full day. Longer hires or commercial use need a direct enquiry.
