What it’s like
A live music venue with strict age rules per gig, so check the billing before you book for a teenager.
This is a gig venue first and foremost, and what you get on the night depends entirely on who's playing. Age restrictions vary event by event: club nights are strictly over 18s, but plenty of gigs are billed as over 14s, where anyone under 16 needs an adult over 18 with them. One adult can bring up to two under-16s, which is handy if you've got a couple of teenagers keen on the same band but not so handy if you're outnumbered.
ID checks are real here, not just for show. They accept a full or provisional driving licence or a passport, nothing else, so don't rely on a school ID or a photo of the card on your phone. Tickets get scanned, and if your teenager's screen is cracked they'll need a printed copy, since damaged screens won't scan.
There's no food or drink allowed in from outside, and bags bigger than A4 aren't permitted either. If you or your teenager turn up with a rucksack, it's going in the cloakroom for £3, and you won't get it back without the matching ticket, so don't lose that. It's an odd rule to run into with a school bag in tow, but it's consistent with how door security works at most venues like this.
Getting there without a car is straightforward: Kelvinhall subway and Partick train station are both a 10 to 15 minute walk. If you are driving, street parking on the surrounding roads is metered on weekdays but free at weekends, and Blue Badge holders can arrange on-site parking in advance by phone or email.

Plan your visit
What age can my child attend?
It depends entirely on the event. Club nights are over 18s only, and if a gig is billed as over 14s, anyone under 16 needs an adult aged 18 or over with them, up to two under-16s per adult.
What ID do we need?
A full or provisional driving licence or a valid passport. Nothing else is accepted, so a school ID card won't do.
Do we need to book ahead?
Yes, booking is required for events here.
Can we bring a bag?
Only small bags, nothing bigger than A4. Anything larger goes in the cloakroom for £3 per item.
Is there parking?
Street parking nearby is metered on weekdays but free at weekends. Blue Badge holders can arrange on-site parking in advance by phone or email.
Is it accessible for wheelchair users?
There are accessible viewing platforms, wheelchair spaces and accessible toilets, and a free PA ticket comes with an accessible ticket.
