What it’s like

Five-day coding and tech camps, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, with early drop-off and late pick-up on offer.

This is a straight week of coding, not a drop-in session here or there. Camps run Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, and they're upfront that you can't book a single day or a three-day chunk, it's the full five or nothing. Lunch is a proper 90-minute break with some activities thrown in, and there are 15-minute breaks besides, apart from the FunTyper course which works in 50-minute learning stretches with 10-minute breaks between.

There are residential camps too, if you want your child away for the week rather than collected each afternoon. Check-in is Sunday at 5pm, and Friday winds up with a Show & Tell at 4pm before children leave from 4:40pm. For day camps, the site is clear that this isn't a week of "playing games", the tutors are there to actually teach, though they're just as clear it's meant to be fun alongside the learning.

If 9am to 5pm doesn't fit your commute, early drop-off at 8:30am and late pick-up at 5:30pm are both bookable, each at £10 for a single day or £30 if you want it covering all five. Pack a water bottle, a packed lunch and two snacks for day camp, and sun cream or a hat if the forecast's hot, since none of that is provided. Get there by 8:50am so your child's settled before the prompt 9am start, latecomers won't thank themselves for it.

Plan your visit

How long is a camp?

Five days, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. They don't run single-day or three-day options, so it's the full week.

Can we get an earlier drop-off or later pick-up?

Yes, 8:30am drop-off and 5:30pm pick-up are both available. It's £10 for one day of either or £30 to cover the whole week.

What does my child need to bring?

A water bottle, packed lunch and two snacks for day camps, plus sun cream and a hat if it's a hot one. Nothing else is provided on site.

Is it all games, or do they actually learn something?

The site is firm that it's not a day of just playing games, there's real teaching behind it from tutors they describe as top quality. That said, they say children come away having learned plenty without it feeling like rote study.

How does the residential camp work?

Check-in is Sunday at 5pm and the week wraps up with a Show & Tell at 4pm on Friday, with children leaving from 4:40pm. Day camps, by contrast, run 9am to 5pm each day with no overnight stay.
