What it’s like

Laser tag birthday parties for ages 4 to 13, with pizza and a party room included in the price.

This one's for pre-booked parties only, so it's not somewhere you turn up on a whim. You book a slot, gather 8 to 14 kids aged 4 to 13, and they get a briefing followed by 50 minutes of laser tag before heading into the party room for 30 minutes with pizza laid on.

The price depends on when you go: £19.99 a child off-peak, £23.49 at peak times. That's per player, so with a full room of 14 it adds up, but it does include the pizza and the room, which saves you sorting food separately. Two or more pizzas are part of the package, which should cover most groups that size.

Opening hours are tight and worth knowing before you try to book: Thursday and Friday afternoons from 4pm to 8pm, then Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 6pm. There's no walk-in laser tag listed, so this is very much a book-ahead venue built around the party format rather than casual sessions.

For a group of primary-school-aged kids, 50 minutes of laser tag is a decent stretch of running about and hiding behind bits of kit, and the party room afterwards gives everyone a chance to sit down and eat before the sugar and adrenaline properly kick in.
