What it’s like

Funcard arcade games, Prize Station, Highway 66 mini bowling and VR at the Cornerhouse - free entry, pay for play.

Kids tap a Funcard onto arcade games, rack up Prize Points and cash them in at the Prize Station for toys, sweets and gadgets. Highway 66 mini bowling is the featured attraction here, with immersive VR and carnival-style games in the mix for rainy-day city centre play.

Entry itself is free - you pay as you go on Funcard tokens for the games (from £1 for 4 tokens; bigger loads add bonus tokens). Birthday packages for ages 14 and under start from £14.99pp for about 50 minutes of unlimited play on flashing-green swiper games, plus one Highway 66 bowling game, prize points and a lanyard - book online at least 3 days ahead (min 6 guests). Unlimited party play excludes VR, Pixel and prize grabbers; no outside food.

Regular hours Mon-Thu 10:30-21:30, Fri 10:30-22:00, Sat 10:00-22:00, Sun 10:30-21:00. School and public holidays open earlier and later (Mon-Thu 10:00-22:00, Fri-Sat to 22:30). Phone 0115 8715 878.
