What it’s like

Book a slot to brush a donkey, feed sheep and walk alpacas on a small Nottinghamshire farm.

This isn't a farm park you turn up to on a whim. Felley works by appointment, so you call or email first and get given a time. What you get for that is proper hands-on stuff: brushing and grooming a donkey, hand-feeding sheep, wandering round with an alpaca on a lead, and saying hello to the chickens along the way. There's also a donkey-led guided walk around the farm, and a bit of arts and crafts using wool from the animals themselves.

Donkey rides aren't a thing here anymore, just to set expectations, but the brushing and walking side of it seems to be the main event now anyway.

In the school holidays, August and September specifically, they run petting sessions at £15 a child and £5 an adult. Outside that window it sounds like it's more bespoke, arranged when you get in touch, and schools can book group visits too.

Because it's appointment-only, there's no wandering in and grabbing whatever session's running. You ring or email, sort a date, and go from there.
