What it’s like

You get 60 minutes locked into a puzzle room together, working through clues as a team to escape before time runs out.

You and your team get shut in a room (or nearly, they'll leave the door ajar if that helps) and you've got 60 minutes to solve your way out. Expect logic puzzles and problem solving that reward the person who spots the pattern nobody else did, rather than the one who shouts loudest.

It's pitched at 10 and up, and younger players can join an adult team though the site is upfront that some of the content might be a stretch for them. Anyone under 16 needs an adult in the group supervising. Budget about 90 minutes all told once you count the briefing at the start and the debrief and team photo at the end, so the actual puzzle-solving is a fraction of your visit.

Booking ahead is a must, there's no just turning up on spec, though they say you can call about last-minute slots if you're chancing it. Turn up on time too. Arriving late genuinely eats into your 60 minutes, since they won't let you in early and won't extend the clock for you. Parking is free but there are only two spaces on site, one per session, so it's tight if more than one car in your group is coming.

There's no refund policy to speak of if your plans change, only rescheduling, and that needs 48 hours notice. Worth locking the date in properly before you book rather than treating it as flexible.

Plan your visit

How long does it actually take?

The game itself is 60 minutes, but with briefing, debrief and a team photo you're looking at about 90 minutes total.

Do we need to book ahead?

Booking in advance is required. They say you can call to check for last-minute availability if you're stuck.

Is it suitable for younger kids?

It's recommended for ages 10 and up. Younger players can take part as part of an adult team, though some of the puzzles may be tough going, and anyone under 16 needs an adult supervising.

What happens if we're late?

They won't let you in early or extend your session, so turning up late just means less time to actually play.

Can we cancel or change our booking?

Refunds aren't really on offer, but they'll reschedule if you give them 48 hours notice before your slot.

Is there parking?

Free parking on site, but only two spaces and one is allocated per game session, so it can be tight.
