What it’s like
A gaming van turns up at your party with VR, driving simulators and side-by-side video games set up ready to go.
This isn't a venue you visit, it's one that comes to you. Next Generation Gaming brings a van kitted out with VR headsets, driving simulation rigs and video games set up for a few players at once, so the party happens wherever you're hosting it, garden, hall or driveway.
A team member travels with the kit and stays to run things, which takes the pressure off whoever's throwing the party. They're DBS Enhanced checked and paediatric first aid trained, which is a reassuring detail if you're handing over a room full of kids to someone you've not met before. Free travel covers 30 minutes from their base in Arborfield, Berkshire, so anywhere reasonably local is included in the price, though if you're further out across the South East or into London there's an extra charge for the distance.
The obvious thing to book this for is a birthday party where you want something that feels a bit different from the usual soft play or bowling slot, the driving sims and VR tend to be the bit kids talk about afterwards. Group bookings are catered for too, so it works for more than just a birthday if you've got a crowd wanting a go on the same setup.
