What it’s like

A neon arcade with VR adventures, bowling, drone racing and an interactive pixel floor to chase across.

This is a card-only arcade where the games do a lot of the talking: VR adventures, neon bowling, drone racing, air hockey and AR darts all sit under one roof, plus a pixel interactive floor that reacts as you move across it. That last one sounds like the bit an eight-year-old would want to do on repeat until you drag them off for tea.

There's no minimum age listed, so it's open to all, though under-18s need an adult with them after 9pm and staff are clear they don't supervise children themselves, so someone responsible needs to be keeping an eye throughout, not just at closing time. It's open long hours, from 10am and running to midnight on Fridays and Saturdays, which makes it a decent option for an evening out as much as an afternoon one.

Food is served all day from the on-site kitchen, loaded hot dogs and stone-baked pizzas among them, and alcohol from midday. You can't bring your own food in though, and it's cash-free throughout, so leave the coins at home and bring a card. Booking online is recommended if you want to guarantee your slot, but walk-ins are welcome too.

Credits go onto a player card that stays valid for a year and works across any Urban Fun venue, which is handy if you end up somewhere else in the group later on. Birthday parties run from a minimum of six guests and kids' parties come with a meal included.
