What it’s like
A free park with a play area, crazy golf and a bird hide, easy to fill a couple of hours without spending anything.
There's a play area for the smaller ones, a crazy golf course for anyone who fancies a competitive nine holes, and a bird hide if you've got a kid who's into that sort of quiet watching. It's free to get in, which takes the pressure off deciding whether it's worth the money before you've even got out of the car.
Ages run up to fourteen, so it stretches from toddlers on the play equipment to older kids who'll get a proper game out of the crazy golf. The bird hide is the bit that might surprise you, it's not what you expect at a park like this, and it's worth steering towards if your child needs a calmer few minutes after the play area.
There's a café on site. Toilets are on site too. No booking link means you just turn up and see what's free, which suits a spontaneous morning rather than one you've planned to the minute.
If you're cycling over there's bike parking, which is a nice detail for a free park that clearly isn't just thinking about people arriving by car.
