What it’s like
Kids storm bunkers and attack castle walls with paintball markers scaled down for younger players, from age 7 up.
This is proper paintball, not the mini indoor arena version. Game zones include a post-apocalyptic bunker to storm at close range and castle walls to attack and hold, and the site splits players by age and experience so a first-timer isn't up against seasoned adults. From 7 to 10 it's Miniball, lightweight spring-loaded markers and smaller paintballs, then standard full-size gear kicks in from 10 up.
You're looking at roughly three hours all told once you count kit issue, the safety briefing and target practice, and debrief at the end, though the games themselves run for two hours. That's a decent chunk of a day, so plan around it rather than squeezing it into an afternoon. Day pass is £9.99 and paintballs are £7.99 for a hundred, and the site reckons on about 200 per game zone as a rough guide, which adds up once you're a few zones in. Packages bundle it together if you'd rather not do the maths on the day, from the Recruit Pack at £49.99 up to Black Ops at £89.99, and there's a Young Gunz range too if you're booking specifically for the younger age bracket.
Booking is not optional here. Weekends sell out, so they want 10 to 14 days notice if you can manage it, and every player needs to fill in a registration form beforehand, with under 16s needing a parent or guardian's signature on it. Turn up without doing that and you'll be filling it in on the spot, which nobody wants when a group's waiting. Early arrivals sometimes get asked to wait in the car park until it's their slot, so there's no huge advantage to turning up hours early.
Birthday parties start from £9.99 a head, and the birthday child gets a Sergeant armband with extra lives, an upgraded sniper barrel and a Top Gun certificate at the end, which is a nice touch if you've got a ten-year-old who takes this sort of thing seriously.

Plan your visit
How much does it cost?
A day pass is £9.99 and 100 paintballs cost £7.99, or you can book a package like the Recruit Pack at £49.99 that bundles it together. Young Gunz packages run from £26.99 to £46.99 for younger players.
What age can kids start?
From age 7, using Miniball, which is lightweight spring-loaded markers and smaller paintballs. Standard full-size equipment kicks in from age 10.
Do we need to book in advance?
Yes, and weekends sell out, so 10 to 14 days ahead is what they recommend. Last-minute bookings sometimes go through but you're relying on a gap.
How long does a visit take?
Games run for two hours but budget about three hours total once you add kit issue, the safety briefing and debrief.
Is there a registration form to fill in?
Every player fills one in online before arriving, and under 16s need a parent or guardian's signature on theirs. Sort it before you go rather than at the door.
Do birthday parties get anything special?
Parties start from £9.99 a head, and the birthday child gets a Sergeant armband with extra lives, an upgraded sniper barrel and a Top Gun certificate.
What if someone in our group doesn't turn up?
Their payment and paintball allocation are forfeited, though the value can be carried forward as credit for a future booking. It's non-refundable either way.
Will we be mixed in with strangers?
Marshals split teams by age, group size and experience, so solo players and small groups get folded into the day. There's no minimum group size for a standard session.
