What it’s like

Six-week courses where you learn actual Strictly Come Dancing routines, in classes kept small enough that they book out.

This is a place built around the six-week course, not drop-in classes. You sign up for a block, and over those weeks you're taught real Strictly Come Dancing moves rather than a vague "ballroom-inspired" workout. That format suits someone who wants to actually learn a routine and see it click into place by week six, rather than a one-off taster that leaves you with two steps and no idea what to do with them.

They keep the classes small, which is the whole point and also the catch. Small groups mean the teacher can actually get to you, correct your frame, tell you when your timing's off. It also means courses fill up, so if you've spotted a start date you like, that's the moment to book, not the week before it begins.

It's pitched at people of all ages and abilities, so a course is as likely to have a total beginner next to someone who's done a few of these before. Nobody's expected to arrive polished. You come back week after week and the group gets used to dancing with each other, which is arguably the more useful bit than the individual steps.

There's no walk-in option here. You commit to the six weeks upfront, which is either exactly what you want (a proper run at learning to dance) or a bit much if you were after a one-off Saturday activity.

Need to know

Booking
6-week courses must be booked in advance
  • Courses run in blocks of six weeks, no single drop-in sessions
  • Book early: small class sizes mean popular courses fill before they start
  • Open to all ages and abilities, so mixed experience levels in one class is normal

Plan your visit

Do we need to book ahead?

Yes, and don't leave it late. Classes are small on purpose, so popular start dates go before the course begins.

Is it suitable for complete beginners?

It's open to people of all ages and abilities, so beginners land in the same room as people who've done a course or two before.

How long does a course run?

Six weeks. You're booking the whole block rather than dropping in for one session.

What actually gets taught?

Strictly Come Dancing style moves, built up week by week rather than crammed into a single lesson.
