What it’s like
Team up to solve puzzles and crack clues against the clock in a themed room in the middle of Plymouth.
You've got a set time to work through a themed room together, hunting for clues and solving puzzles until you either escape or run out of time trying. Games masters watch the room throughout and feed you tailored hints if you get stuck, and every team gets a notepad to help piece things together. The door's never locked, so if anyone in your group gets twitchy about small spaces they can step out for air without ending the game for everyone else.
It's not a jump-scare, actor-in-a-mask sort of place. The site is upfront that there's no scary theming, just dark corners in spots with a bit of ambient noise for atmosphere, and torches handed out to everyone so nobody's fumbling in the dark. That makes it a gentler introduction to escape rooms than some, which is worth knowing if tension rather than terror is more your team's thing.
Pricing drops as your group grows: £27 a head for two players down to £19 each if you can fill a six. That's a decent incentive to rope in extra people rather than go as a pair. Children are welcome as part of a team, though they ask for a parent to tag along, and the clues can be adjusted to suit younger solvers.
Turn up 15 minutes before your slot. There's a waiting area with sofas, and that quarter hour covers registration, any payment still owing, and a toilet stop before you're locked in with the clock running. The entrance is easy to walk past if you're not looking for it: a ground floor doorway on the high street, sandwiched between Better Bargain and Boots.

How much does it cost?
It scales with group size: £27 per person for two players, down to £19 each for six. NHS, Blue Light, Armed Forces and students get 10% off.
Is it OK to bring kids?
Children are welcome as part of a team as long as a parent comes along too. Clues can be tailored to suit them.
Will it be too scary or too dark for a nervous player?
There are no actors or jump scares, just some darker patches with torches provided to help. The door is never locked, so anyone who needs a breather can step outside.
When should we arrive and is there parking nearby?
Arrive 15 minutes early for registration, payment and the toilet before your game starts. Woolworths East Car Park is right behind the building with disabled spaces, or Colin Campbell Car Park is a four-minute walk.
