What it’s like
An hour locked in a room together, working through clues and puzzles to beat the clock before your time's up.
You get 60 minutes in the room to work through puzzles and hidden clues as a team, with a group photo at the end as proof you made it out (or didn't). This is a proper escape room, not a soft-play version of one, so it's built for teenagers and adults rather than younger kids. The minimum age is 12, and anyone under 16 needs an adult with them in the room.
The pricing is banded by team size rather than per head, which changes how you plan the trip. Two players costs £22, and it drops as the group grows, right down to £13 for a full room of seven. That means a bigger group night out with mates or older cousins works out a lot cheaper per person than a couple going alone.
Turn up 5 to 10 minutes early for your briefing. Arrive late and you don't get extra time tacked on, your session just gets shorter, which stings if you've spent ages getting everyone there. Booking is done online with a card or PayPal, and there's no wriggle room if plans change afterwards: no cancellations, transfers or refunds once you've paid.
Stuck on a puzzle? A team member will step in with a hint rather than leaving you to sweat it out for the full hour. One thing to flag if you're planning a big session out beforehand: anyone showing up under the influence of alcohol will be turned away at the door.
