What it’s like

A live music and events space in Liverpool with a strict no re-entry rule and no cloakroom, so plan your evening before you get there.

This is a gig and events venue, not a family day out. What's on changes the whole shape of the night, from Bongo's Bingo to touring acts, and each event has its own entry time listed on the ticket or event page rather than a fixed door time you can rely on.

Bongo's Bingo runs here as a regular fixture, booked separately through its own site rather than through the venue. Other events sometimes have limited tickets on the door, but that's down to the promoter and not guaranteed, so if there's a specific night you want, get the ticket sorted in advance rather than hoping to walk up.

A few rules are worth knowing before you go. There's no cloakroom, so you're stuck holding coats and bags all night. The bag policy is strict too, no food, no liquids, sealed or not, so eating beforehand is the move. Once you're in and scanned, that's it, no popping out for fresh air and back in again.

On accessibility, they've made a real effort: portable ramps, a private step-free entrance, an accessibility area with room for three wheelchair users plus a companion each, and free companion tickets. You do need to register at least seven days ahead of the event through their access form, which is a bit of admin but means the space itself is properly set up rather than an afterthought. There's no on-site parking, though Grafton Street has private parking nearby and there's sometimes free street parking if you're willing to look.

Plan your visit

What time should we arrive?

It depends on the event. Entry times are advertised on the specific event page and by whoever's selling the tickets, so check that rather than assuming a standard door time.

Can we leave and come back in?

No re-entry once your ticket's scanned. Plan your night as one block rather than nipping out.

Is there a cloakroom for coats and bags?

There isn't one, and the bag policy bans food and liquids too, so travel light and eat before you arrive.

What if someone needs accessibility support?

There's a step-free private entrance, portable ramps and an accessibility viewing area for up to three wheelchair users plus companions, with free companion tickets. You need to register through their access form at least seven days before the event.

Is there parking?

No on-site parking. Grafton Street has private parking close by, and free street parking sometimes turns up if you're lucky.
