What it’s like
A 60 minute puzzle room in Chesterfield where your team works together to escape before the clock runs out.
You book the whole room to yourselves here, not a slot alongside strangers, and you get 60 minutes to solve the puzzles and find your way out. It's a team effort: logic, common sense and someone remembering to check behind the sofa cushions. If you fail, the gamesmaster lets you out at the hour mark and you're welcome back another time.
Pricing is flat per booking rather than per head, from £60 for two players up to £120 for six, and teams can run from 2 up to 10 people. That makes it decent value once you've got four or five in, less so for a couple on a date night. Comfortable clothing is the only kit advice they give, and there's no photos or filming once you're in the room.
Booking is required and it's a strict one. Arrive more than 15 minutes late and they may cancel your game with no refund, and all sales are final once confirmed, so there's no backing out if someone comes down with a cold. You can reschedule for free if you do it more than 48 hours ahead; inside that window it's a £25 admin fee.
It's a five minute walk from Chesterfield train station over the footbridge into town, and Rose Hill car park is nearby if you're driving. The rooms are built in fairly spacious areas but there are some tighter elements, and if that's a worry for anyone in your group they'll let you come and see the space before you book.

Is it suitable if someone's claustrophobic?
The rooms are built in reasonably spacious areas but there are some less spacious elements. You can ask to see the space beforehand if that's a concern.
