What it’s like

Weekly dance, drama and musical theatre classes for 7 to 18 year olds, from ballet and tap to acro and aerial.

This is a proper stage school setup rather than a drop-in session. Kids work through ballet, contemporary, tap, jazz, commercial and modern dance, alongside separate drama and singing classes. If your child has watched a few too many musicals and wants to actually do the thing, there's Junior, Inter and Senior Musical Theatre classes to grow into as they get older.

The acro and aerial classes are the ones a seven or eight-year-old will boast about at school, and probably the reason to stick around once the novelty of ballet positions wears off. Because the age range runs right up to 18, this suits a child who wants to keep training year on year rather than one who fancies a single taster session.

Given the range on offer, this reads as classes running across the week on a regular timetable rather than a one-off event, so it suits a family looking for an ongoing weekly commitment rather than a single day out.
