What it’s like

A themed music and singing session for babies and toddlers, with free play thrown in at Thingamajigz Play Centre afterwards.

Expect puppets, props, instruments and a theme running through the singing, the sort of thing that keeps a wriggly one-year-old sat still for longer than usual. Sessions are led by Raquel, and the themes and songs change up so a term of it doesn't feel repetitive.

The bit that makes this worth the trip: on the day of your class, you get unlimited free play at Thingamajigz Play Centre in Poulton. So the music session becomes the start of the outing rather than the whole of it, and you can let the toddler loose on the play centre afterwards without paying twice.

You can pay per term or ask about a casual single session, though those depend on availability and aren't guaranteed. If you want to try before committing to a term, trial sessions are possible but they're also subject to availability and might cost you. One sibling comes free, which is a decent perk if you've got a baby and a toddler both wanting in, and childminders are half price too.

Parties are on offer, with the same props, puppets and instruments built around a theme of your choosing. One thing to flag: Raquel herself isn't currently doing parties, so check who'd be running yours before you book one in.
