What it’s like
Pick your own pumpkin from the patch, then follow the spooky trail and warm up with a toasted marshmallow.
You wander out into the field and pick your own pumpkin, then lug it back in a bag you've brought from home because they'll be muddy. It's a proper farm, not a car park with crates out front, so wellies are the sensible choice over trainers if it's been raining. Entry itself is free, which is the right call for something this simple, and you only pay for what you pick or eat.
The spooky trail and the autumnal photo spots are there most days, but it's worth timing your visit around a weekend or half term if you want the extras. Face painting and craft sessions run then, and once you hit the 26th to 31st October window there's free pumpkin carving and marshmallow toasting thrown in too. Halloween crafting has its own set of dates in that same late-October stretch, so a quick look at which day you're going tells you what's actually on.
There's no need to book for a normal patch visit, you just turn up between 10am and 4pm. The one exception is the Howloween evenings, which are dog friendly (a rarity here, since dogs are usually kept off the patch) but ticketed and need sorting in advance, one ticket per dog. There are also SEND sessions on a couple of specific mornings, kept deliberately quiet and low on visitor numbers, and those need booking ahead too.
Food and drink are sold on site if you want a hot chocolate to go with the marshmallow toasting, and there's free parking so you're not stuck hunting for a space. Card and cash both work, and if you're coming by bus the X46 or X47 gets you within a ten minute walk.

Plan your visit
How much does it cost?
Getting in is free, you just pay for the pumpkins you pick and any food or extras.
Do we need to book?
Not for a regular visit, you can walk up any day they're open between 10am and 4pm. The SEND sessions and Howloween dog events are the exceptions and need booking ahead.
Is it OK to bring wellies instead of trainers?
Good idea. It's a working farm site and can get muddy underfoot.
Can we bring the dog?
Not onto the pumpkin patch itself. The exception is the Howloween evenings, which are ticketed and dog-specific, one ticket per dog.
What's on for the kids beyond picking a pumpkin?
There's a spooky trail, autumnal photo spots, and on weekends and half term you get face painting and craft sessions. Late October adds free pumpkin carving and marshmallow toasting.
Is there food on site?
Yes, hot and cold drinks and snacks are sold there, useful when the marshmallow toasting starts up.
What about parking and getting there without a car?
Parking on site is free. If you're on the bus, the X46 or X47 stops about a ten minute walk away.
When is it open?
From 26 September it runs on selected days, then daily from 23 October through to 31 October, 10am to 4pm.
