What it’s like

A live TV-style game show booked out just for your group, with brewhouse games like shuffleboard and darts thrown in.

This is a private game show studio at the brewhouse, booked exclusively for your group for an hour of rounds against your mates, TV format style. Nobody else gets slotted into your session, so it's just whoever you bring competing against each other, which makes it a decent one for a birthday do or a group that actually knows each other rather than a mixed room of strangers.

It's over-16s only, and under-18s need an adult with them, so this one's off the cards for younger kids entirely. Turn up 10 minutes early for the briefing and to get a drink from the bar before you start. The session itself runs about an hour, which feels about right, long enough to get into it without outstaying the format.

Once you're done, the brewhouse itself has free cornhole, shuffleboard and interactive darts. At £18 a head it's not pocket change for an hour, but with the games thrown in and food on site, you could easily turn it into a full afternoon or evening rather than a quick in-and-out. Booking's required, and it's open every day from midday to 11pm, so evenings and weekends both work.
