What it’s like
A glass pod glides 450 feet above the beach for a 25-minute, 360-degree view over Brighton and the coast.
The whole thing is the ride: a glass viewing pod that lifts slowly up the tower to 450 feet, turns you a full circle, and brings you back down again in about 25 minutes. There's no getting off halfway, no second loop, so it's a short, self-contained trip rather than something you build a whole afternoon around, though you can easily stretch it out with food and drinks on site once you're back down.
For anyone who wants a bit more than the standard ride, there's a Sky Walk Experience too, which is the one to save for last if you fancy pushing past the ordinary viewing deck stuff. It's an outdoor attraction by nature, being a tower on the seafront, and it's fully accessible, with disabled visitors and their carers or companions getting free or half-price entry.
You can turn up and buy tickets on the day or book online in advance, and it runs daily from 8am to 7pm, with hours shifting a bit by season. It's a short walk from Brighton train station, around 15 minutes, and there's a car park about a minute from the entrance if you're driving in. Birthday parties can be booked either up in the pod itself or in one of the beachfront event spaces, which is a nice option if you want the view to be part of the celebration rather than just the day trip.
