What it’s like

Axe throwing, crazy golf and augmented reality darts under one roof, with street food and cocktails for the grown-ups once the kids clear off at 7pm.

This one's built for the bit of the family that's outgrown soft play but isn't quite ready for a proper pub crawl. Axe throwing, augmented reality darts, shuffleboard, crazier golf, beer pong (the non-alcoholic version presumably supervised), and a private karaoke pod if you fancy embarrassing yourself as a group. It's daft, it's a bit loud, and that's clearly the point.

The catch, and it's a proper one: under-18s are welcome, but only until 7pm, and they need an adult with them the whole time. So this is a daytime or early-evening plan, not a birthday tea that drifts into the night. Some of the games carry their own age restrictions too, which is worth bearing in mind if you've got a mix of ages in your group and one kid keeps getting told to sit the round out.

Food-wise there's a street food menu, small plates, sides, burgers, with kids' options and vegetarian choices covered. The Meal Deal at £10 looks like the sensible family order rather than picking individual games and drinks separately. Everything's card only, no cash accepted, which catches some people out at the till.

You don't have to book to get in, walk-ins are fine for food and drinks, but if you actually want to play the games it's worth booking ahead since slots aren't guaranteed on the day. Bookings are non-refundable too, so a last-minute change of plan costs you unless you can email at least 24 hours out. Parking's sorted at the St Enoch Centre car park, open till midnight, and it's a walkable ten minutes from Glasgow Central if you're coming by train.

Plan your visit

Is there an age limit?

Under-18s are welcome but only until 7pm, and they need an adult with them the whole visit. After 7pm it's 18+ only.

Do we need to book?

Walk-ins are fine if you're just there for food and drinks. For the games, book ahead as slots aren't guaranteed on the day.

Can we cancel or change a booking?

Bookings are non-refundable. If you email at least 24 hours before your slot they'll try to reschedule you.

How much does it cost?

Games start from £5 a person, with bundles like the £27.50 BOOM Bundle covering more of the activities. The family Meal Deal is £10.

What about food?

There's a street food menu with burgers, sides and small plates, plus a kids' menu and vegetarian options.

Is it cash or card?

Card only, no cash accepted anywhere on site.

Do we need ID?

They run a Challenge 25 policy, so bring ID if there's any chance you look under 25.

Is there parking nearby?

The St Enoch Centre car park is close by and open until midnight.

Can you book it for a birthday party?

Birthday packages are available and can be booked online, along with hen and stag packages.

Are all the games suitable for kids?

Some games have age restrictions, so it's a good idea to check which ones your kids can actually join in on before you book.

How do we get there without a car?

Glasgow Central Station is about a 10 minute walk and Queen Street Station about 15 minutes.
